Wild at Heart sparked a spate of films about dangerous duos on the run: Thelma & Louise (1991), True Romance (1993), and Natural Born Killers (. Mickey and Sailor are both violent, angry and willing to do anything for the women they love. Mallory and Lula were both abused in the past and it's the love that set them free. Both tell the story of mad love between two people, damaged, hurt and finding consolation and happiness in each other arms.
